  • The Teams
    • Elise Mertens / Veronika Kudermetova
      • Accomplishments: Mertens | Kudermetova
      • Summary: They are both strong singles players with strong doubles records with other partners. They are certainly a sleeper team.
    • Lyudmyla Kichenok / Jelena Ostapenko
      • Accomplishments: Kichenok | Ostapenko
      • Summary: They had a very strong year and have a ton of upside. Being as inconsistent as they are, it would not be surprising to see them go all the way or drop out in round-robin play.
    • Yifan Xu / Zhaoxuan Yang
      • Accomplishments: Xu | Yang
      • Summary: They played some of their best tennis in the US this year and have a very good record against the rest of the field.
    • Beatriz Haddad Maia / Anna Danilina
      • Accomplishments: Maia | Danilina
      • Summary: Possibly the hottest team coming into the tournament, making them one of the scariest.
    • Demi Schuurs / Desirae Krawczyk
      • Accomplishments: Schuurs | Krawczyk
      • Summary: They had a very solid year overall but may lack some upside and firepower it takes to win the WTA Finals.
